A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love and a time to hate;
A time for war, and a time for peace.
I now have the pleasure to invite Ted Wilkes who will perform a Noongar spiritual blessing of the grave to release the spirits of Gavin and Del from their earthly remains, setting them free to return to the spirit world,
Blessing of the Grave
Thank you Ted.
Committal of Gavin
As we commit Gavin to his heavenly rest please join me in reciting the Lord’s Prayer. If you are seated, please stand if you are able.
Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom Come
Thy will be done
On Earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
Forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory
Now and forever
Floral Tribute for Gavin.
Representatives from Gavin and Del’s family will now offer a floral tribute on behalf of everyone present. (Grant, Jill and Rachel; Katherine, Alex and Arthur)
Ladies and Gentlemen as we have a double internment today, the graveside staff will now prepare the grave for Del. While they complete this, please use this time for personal reflection. Think of the all the good times and how Gavin and Del enriched your lives and also what you meant to them.

Committal of Del
As we commit Del to her final resting place I will recite Do Not Stand At My Grave by Mary Frye (1932) This has been adjusted to the plural form.
Do not stand at our grave and weep
We are not there.
We do not sleep.
We are the thousand winds that blow
We are the diamond glints on snow
We are the sun on ripened grain
We are the gentle autumn rain.
We are the shining stars at night.
When you awake to the morning light
We are the soft, uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
Our time has come, we are at rest.
We are the sunset in the west
We are the clouds that race above,
Where we watch over those we love.
Do not stand at our grave and cry,
We are not there
We do not die.
So hear the words
That here we say,
We are the love that guides your way.
Final Floral Tribute
The families will now come forward to make their final goodbyes and lay floral tributes to Gavin and Del. Once they are finished, you are all invited to follow to make your own final goodbyes.
Ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of the families I thank you all for your attendance today.
