In recent years Gavin has worked closely with a number of Aboriginal people on various issues around Aboriginal health and well being. He has worked in the Torres Strait, NSW, WA and the Northern Territory. He has published widely on Aboriginal health and run courses in Aboriginal health economics. He has trained all five of the Aboriginal health economists in Australia. He was an invited speaker at the Garma Festival in 2008. He is available to act as a consultant on Aboriginal health issues and to run courses in health economics for Aboriginal people.
